In 2017, the Fira Argillà, organized by the Càntir Museum of Argentona and the town council, started a new line of signature botijos promoted by architect and designer Quim Larrea. Since then, each year's càntir has been commissioned to a relevant personality from the world of design and architecture: Joan Cruanyes, Miguel Milá, André Ricard, Oscar Tusquets, Carme Pinós and Nani Marquina.
"The botijo is a refrigerator without batteries. It is an invention of thousands and thousands of years ago. It is portable, refillable, it is fragile, if treated carelessly it breaks, it is shared with friends, and above all it is humble, almost anonymous. In summer when it's hot it sweats water like you do. In the shade of a fig tree the cool water from the botijo is a jewel."
