MARISCAL. THE JOY OF LIVING

The transition from dictatorship to democracy; the birth of underground comics; the design boom in Spain; the miraculous 1990s. Mariscal's life and work is a portrait of an entire era. The story of a man who conquered the world and had to lose everything to find himself again.

The film is the second feature-length documentary directed by Laura Grande, who also served as executive producer. It is a production led by the Valencian company Estrela Audiovisual in co-production with RTVE. The project has benefited from the collaboration of the Generalitat Valenciana IVC Conselleria d'Educació, Investigació, Cultura i Esport; the Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana; the Ajuntament de València; and the Diputació de València; the support of World Design Capital Valencia 2022; the participation of À Punt Mèdia, IB3, CREA SGR, and funding from Yunit.
