HOTEL PUERTA AMÉRICA

2005

The Silken Hotels Group is the developer responsible for the Hotel Puerta América project in Madrid, a project that brought together, for the first time in history, eighteen of the world's best architects and designers to create a space that would serve as a source of inspiration for the imagination and senses of visitors.

Together with Fernando Salas Studio, the eleventh floor was designed; the entrance, corridors, 28 double rooms and 2 suites. Trying to create a simple space in the solutions, without formal boasts or great technical complications, functional and lasting, trying to create a multifunctional habitat and not a simple bedroom.

As soon as the guests leave the elevator, Mariscal's sculpture Cactus appears in the lobby. Throughout the hallway are illuminated showcases that resemble transparent light boxes and display different objects also designed by Mariscal. The aim is to make the path to the rooms more attractive.
